Transfer Flow to Host Manufacturing Day Event With Factory Tours on Friday, October 13
Designed to Expand Knowledge of Manufacturing and to Improve Public Perception of Manufacturing Career Opportunities
To celebrate Manufacturing Day and their 40th anniversary in business, Transfer Flow, a manufacturer of fuel tank systems for the automotive and recreational vehicle industries, will open its doors to the Chico community on Friday, October 13. Planned opening events will include factory tours of the manufacturing, welding, and engineering departments.
Manufacturing Day is an annual national event supported by thousands of U.S. manufacturers that welcomes students, teachers, parents, job seekers, and other local community members at open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.
“We hope to change people’s perceptions about today’s manufacturing environment and draw attention to the outstanding opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide by showcasing the rewarding, highly skilled jobs available in this industry,” said Lisa Johnson, CEO. “Our open house will also allow us to highlight how manufacturing contributes to our local economy.”
Transfer Flow's Open House is scheduled for Friday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No reservation is required. Transfer Flow is located near the Chico Airport at 1444 Fortress Street.
