Transfer Flow Fuel Tanks Installed on EcoTrek's Cellulosic Ethanol Fueled Vehicle Transfer Flow is proud to be a part of EcoTrek'S "Best of America Tour". EcoTrek is a non-profit organization that conducts research and educational programs to advance the use of renewable fuels and materials. Their F250 Ford pickup is powered by POET Cellulosic Ethanol. Cellulosic Ethanol (CE) is the next generation of EPA-approved biofuels made in America from grasses, crop residues and waste materials diverted and potentially harvested from land-fills. In America, the production of CE could create tens of thousands of jobs, increase unsubsidized revenue to farmers and lower demand for foreign fuels.. The project vehicle has three Transfer Flow 82-gallon refueling tanks installed in the bed of the pickup.

Launch Event For New DPF System is Thursday, October 7 at Transfer Flow Transfer Flow will hold a launch event at our manufacturing facility on Thursday, Oct. 7 to introduce the company's breakthrough Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) system that has been proven to dramatically improve air quality performance of older Tier 0 stationary and portable engines at a fraction of the cost of engine replacement. Representatives from the board of supervisors, city council members from cities throughout the county as well as university and college representatives are expected to attend. Speakers will include, Erik Gustafson, City of Chico Fleet Manager, who has acquired a Transfer Flow DPF System for certain equipment owned by the City of Chico, and David Lusk Senior Air Quality Engineer, Butte County Air Quality Management Resources. The event will take place at Transfer Flow's manufacturing facility at 1444 Fortress Street in Chico at 11:00 a.m..

Transfer Flow Introduces Larger Fuel Tank For 2011 Ford Pickup (July 2010) Transfer Flow has introduced a 50 gallon midship replacement fuel tank for the 2011 Ford crew cab diesel pickup with a 6 1/2 foot bed. The fuel tank is made from 12-gauge aluminized steel and comes with straps and mounting hardware.
"With the stock tank being only 26 gallons, we expect our 50 gallon replacement tank to be a top seller for us," stated Marketing Director Warren Johnson. Orders are now being accepted, with the ship date expected to be toward the end of July.
Transfer Flow's DPF System Will Keep California Diesel Engines Legal (June 2010) Transfer Flow has introduced a diesel particulate filter (DPF) for California Tier 0 - 2 diesel engines. A diesel particulate filter is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust of a diesel engine. The California Air Resources Board has established diesel emissions regulations that require diesel engines in California be retrofitted or replaced in order to achieve the goal of removing at least 85% of particulate matter emitted from a diesel engine. Instead of buying a new engine, retrofitting an engine with a Transfer Flow DPF system may save you thousands of dollars!
For people with Tier 0 - 2 diesel engines, call Transfer Flow at (530) 893-5209 ext. 11, and well gladly help you better understand the new regulations pertaining to the equipment you own, retrofitting your equipment with a Transfer Flow DPF system, or to schedule a no-cost appointment with one of our engineers.
Transfer Flow Reduces Energy Costs by Installing Solar Panels (June 2010) As a solution to reduce operating costs, and to be a good steward of the environment, Transfer Flow has installed 252 Mitsubishi solar panels to our roof, which are capable of producing 46.60 kilowatts. Solar panels make use of renewable energy from the sun, and are a clean and environmentally sound means of collecting solar energy.
Prior to adding the solar panels, Transfer Flow was consuming 14,240 kilowatts a month or 89,541 pounds of CO2 a year (the equivalent of 4,615 gallons of gas a year). With the solar panels installed, we are using as little as 350 kilowatts or 2,200 pounds of CO2 a year, or the equivalent of 113 gallons of gas a year. Needless to say, Transfer Flow's energy bill has been dramatically reduced.
CEO Lisa Johnson states, "this is just a start. We know sometime in the future we will have our second building run by the suns energy as well." | | |
